Applicants are sought to serve on the Ward County Planning Commission, which is in the process of revising county zoning codes.

The Ward County Commission has extended the application period to Oct. 6. The position is at-large so any county resident is eligible to apply.

The planning commission meets the third Thursday of each month to make recommendations on zoning applications and requests or any zoning regulations that may be proposed. A work session is to be set within the next few weeks to discuss a draft map of zoning districts and standards and allowed uses within those districts as part of code revision.
