Minot Police Department responded to a report of an explosion in southeast Minot today at 4:56 a.m. An intact improvised explosive device (IED) had exploded outside a home. An examination revealed an intact IED. The home had minor damage and occupants were not injured. Minot Area Bomb Squad was dispatched and rendered the IED safe. The incident appears to be a targeted incident and not a random act, police said in a news release.
