Commerce Awards CARES Act Funds to ND Tribes
BISMARCK – North Dakota tribes were awarded grants from CARES Act funding through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration, according to Sens. John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, both R-ND.
Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, Spirit Lake Tribe and the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation (Three Affiliated Tribes) each will receive $150,000 to support efforts to recover from the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
