The Minot Fire Department responded to a house fire at 2107 11th Ave. NW at mid-afternoon Monday. Upon arrival it was discovered that heavy smoke was in all areas of the home with fire coming from basement windows.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and remained on the scene overnight to check for any remaining hotspots.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The call to the fire department was made by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from the windows on the home.
