Skye Miller charged with stealing credit card, unauthorized use of credit card

Skye Jordan Dakota Miller, 28, is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony conspiracy to commit unauthorized use of personal identifying information, Class C felony unauthorized use of personal identifying information and Class C felony theft of mislaid property.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Miller is accused of stealing a credit card, that had not yet been activated, that had fallen out of a woman’s purse at the Rocking Horse on Dec. 6, 2019. The woman told police that someone had tried to use the card twice at Walmart. A transaction for $413.76 was declined and a transaction for $310.88 was accepted. Her card was also used at the Kum N Go for $126.61.

Miller can be seen on the video from the Kum N Go using the credit card to buy two cartons of cigarettes.

Miller and another man are seen walking to the cash register, where the other man pulls the credit card from his pocket and uses it to purchase gift cards. Miller then picks up the gift cards and the credit card before the transaction is complete and hands the other man the credit card before walking off with the gift cards. The unknown man grabs the receipt before he leaves the store.

Miller did not provide officers identifying information for the other man.
