Brian Reamann has accepted the mayor’s position in Sawyer following a write-in election June 9.

No one filed for the position, and Reamann and three others finished in the four-way tie with three write-in votes each. The other three declined the position.

In Kenmare, Nicole Michalenko accepted a seat on the park board. Only one person filed for two seats so the second seat was decided by write-in votes. Michalenko and Richard Harris each received seven votes. Harris declined the position.

Laura Fransen and Melissa Rensch each received 12 votes for a seat on the Makoti Park Board. The park board will determine a winner Monday.
