Juvenile driver turns himself in to police in connection with fatal accident
A 16-year-old boy turned himself in on Thursday evening in connection with a fatal hit and run accident on Wednesday night.
The boy will be referred to juvenile court for accident involving a death, according to Minot police. No further information will be released because the driver is a juvenile.
The 16-year-old was driving a vehicle that struck 18-year-old Michael Chad Fenner at the intersection of South Broadway and 17th Avenue and then immediately left the scene. Fenner was taken to the hospital for treatment but died a short time later.
