David Coppock, Laketa Barber charged with intent to deliver methamphetamine, ecstasy

David Anthony Coppock, 38, Bismarck, and Laketa Lashawn Barber, 42, are each charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, Class B felony possession with intent to deliver ecstasy, and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia in August 2019.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for a southeast Minot apartment where Coppock and Barber were living at the time. In the master bedroom, the search turned up 89 ecstasy pills, 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and rolling papers, two electronic scales with drug residue, an electronic vape pen and $1,930 in U.S. currency.
