Terrance Johnson charged with intent to deliver meth

Terrance Dale Johnson, 49, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deliver methamphetamine, Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, a second offense, and Class C felony possession of meth paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, police received a call on Sunday afternoon that Johnson was behaving in a disorderly manner in southeast Minot. Johnson was detained. He dropped a stereo speaker nest into a plastic bag containing .4 grams of meth, which he acknowledged belonged to him. Johnson also had outstanding warrants. He cursed at officers and physically resisted when he was arrested. They searched his person and found another plastic bag containing 3.6 grams of meth and four individually wrapped plastic bags each containing .5 grams of meth. Johnson was put in the patrol car to be taken to jail. On the way, Johnson tried to slam his head into the window and metal bars. At the jail he claimed he had broken a syringe in his arm. Johnson was then taken to the hospital, was medically cleared and then returned to the jail.
