FARGO – NextERA Energy Resources, through the NextEra Energy Foundation, has made a $25,000 donation to the Great Plains Food Bank. The donation will provide needed food assistance for children, seniors and families across North Dakota and western Minnesota.

NextEra Energy Resources services 37 states across the country including N.D. and Minnesota.

Great Plains Food Bank is North Dakota’s only food bank and its partner network includes 213 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens and other charitable feeding programs operating in 99 communities across N.D. and Clay County, Minn.

The donation is part of an overall $1.5 million gift of COVID-19 emergency assistance from the NextEra Energy family of companies for partner organizations across the country.
