MAX – Max Fire Department, assisted by the Minot Rural Fire Department, answered a call Wednesday afternoon to house fires at the former radar base site, south of Minot.

Minot Rural Fire Department Chief Rex Weltikol said they sent out a tanker to the Max Fire District to stop a house fire that spread to another house. There was a grass fire as well, but it was extinguished quickly. He said the Max Fire Department left around 5:45 pm. There were no injuries. Further details were not available at this time.
