Dakota Cruisers to host Rolling Car Show in Minot

Submitted Photo Dakota Cruisers Car Club held a car show in downtown Minot this past September, shown in this photo. On Saturday afternoon, Dakota Cruisers will host a Rolling Car Show when groups of vehicles will be driving through the city. The event is being held to help brighten people’s day.

If you see groups of classic vehicles and other vehicles of interest driving through the city of Minot on Saturday afternoon, it’s the Dakota Cruisers Car Club hosting a Rolling Car Show.

The traveling car show is being done in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help brighten up people’s day.

George Masters, Dakota Cruisers president, said this is not a parade but a drive around.

Any classic vehicles or vehicles of interest including motorcycles are welcome to participate.

Rolling Car Show participants are asked to meet at 1 p.m. to line-up in the Home Depot parking lot on the south side of Minot.

The Rolling Car Show will leave the Home Depot parking lot beginning at 1:30 p.m., heading north and splitting off at 31st Avenue and Broadway. From there they will go by assisted living facilities, nursing homes, etc. The drive will include 16th Street, Fourth Avenue, Third Street, Main Street, Burdick Expressway and many other streets.

The vehicles will travel in groups of several. Participants in the traveling car show will remain in their vehicles.

The Rolling Car Show will conclude at 3 p.m.

Special drive-by requests (i.e. older family members such as parents or grandparents) will be considered. Anyone wishing to make a special drive-by request is asked to contact Masters at 240-6771.

For more information about the event, call Dennis Zieman, Dakota Cruisers board member, at 833-2896 or Masters. More information also is available at dakotacruiser.com or Dakota Cruisers Car Club Facebook page.

The event will go on rain or shine, organizers said.
