Levi Ward, Minot, charged with reckless endangerment

Levi James Ward, 39, Minot, is accused of fleeing from police at a high rate of speed on Sunday evening and endangering others by driving on area sidewalks and over a three-foot-high retaining wall. Police say that Ward nearly hit a man who was walking his dog. According to the police press release, police temporarily lost sight of the vehicle but located it again near the Minot Walmart. Ward continued to drive west through open fields and eventually came to stop in a coulee after going through a backyard fence. Police took him to the hospital to be checked out because they suspected Ward was under the influence of drugs. Police encourage other people who were out walking at the time and were affected to call them at 852-0111 and refer to case No. 20-9487 or submit a tip through their website.

Ward is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony reckless endangerment, Class B misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs, and Class B misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
