Samuel Robert Kendrick, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with punching his girlfriend, who is 6 1/2 months pregnant, several times in the left ear, in the back of the head and in the arm during a domestic violence altercation on Monday.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the woman briefly lost consciousness during the assault and, when she woke up, one of her children was next to her. She found her phone and called police. Kendrick, who had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest, left the residence when she called police. She sought treatment at the hospital.

The woman told police that Kendrick had been playing video games and became angry when she took away the remote control. They had been arguing over finances.
