The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning 10 miles south of Stanley.

Trevor Gustavson, 20, of Donnybrook, was the driver of a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 that was traveling west on 51st Street NW, which intersects with Highway 8. Gustavson drove through a stop sign coming onto Highway 8 and pulled out in front of a 2009 Dodge Ram that was driven by a 15-year-old girl from Stanley. The Dodge Ram pickup was struck in the driver side area by the front of the Dodge Ram pickup, which had traveling north on Highway 8. The 15-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram and her passengers, a 15-year-old girl from New Town and a 13-year-old girl from Stanley, were all wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries. Gustavson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment. Both vehicles came to rest in the west ditch pointing south after the crash. The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
