Cameron Olson, Minot, sentenced to time served, unsupervised probation, for strangling girlfriend
Cameron Eli Olson, 26, Minot, was sentenced on Friday to 360 days in jail, with all suspended but the seven days he has already served in the Ward County Jail, and 360 days of unsupervised probation for strangling his girlfriend during a domestic altercation on Dec. 4, 2019.
Olson had originally been charged with Class C felony domestic violence resulting in serious bodily injury. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of Class A misdemeanor domestic violence causing substantial bodily injury.
Court records show that Judge Stacy Louser also ordered Olson to complete a course for domestic violence offenders, to have no contact with the victim, and to pay $500 in court costs.
