WATFORD CITY - An Alexander woman killed in an accident 12 miles west of Watford City on Thursday morning has been identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol as Amelia Johnson, 58.
According to the Patrol, Johnson was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier west on Highway 85 when she swerved into the eastbound lane and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado head-on. She was dead at the scene of the crash.
Timothy Wolfe, 27, Williston, driver of the Silverado, was taken to a hospital in Williston for treatment of serious injuries.
Both drivers were protected by seat belts and air bags.
