Timothy Hattel, Minot, charged with intent to deliver Lorazepam

Timothy Frederick Hattel, 53, Minot, is charged with Class C felony possession with intent to deliver Lorazepam and Class A misdemeanor fleeing from police on Jan. 17.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, an officer had initiated a traffic stop and Hattel took off and fled from police. Police pursued the vehicle until Hattel got stuck in south Minot.

Hattel was searched and the search turned up 35 Lorazepam pills in a clear baggie in his pants pocket. Hattel also appeared to be intoxicated and refused to take a field sobriety test. Hattel told police that he trades the prescription pills for money and other things and admitted he did not have a prescription for them.

Hattel also had 50 zip lock baggies and two baggies filled with marijuana in his possession.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Feb. 20 in district court in Minot before Judge Doug Mattson.
