City seeks new assessor
Minot City Assessor Kevin Ternes will be retiring from his position Feb. 28, and the city has begun a search for a successor.
Ternes started in the Minot City Assessor’s Office in 1991 as an appraiser. He became city assessor in 2004. He said he plans to spend more time with family and hobbies but also will be engaged in a new venture doing private appraisal of commercial property.
The city is accepting applications for the position until 4 p.m. on Feb. 7. Pay range is $80,818 to $119,975
