Man killed in train-semi crash
A Wednesday morning crash involving a Burlington Northern-Sante Fe train and a 2004 Mack Straight Truck resulted in the death of 32-year-old man from Dilworth, Minn.
The driver and lone occupant was killed at the scene. His name will be released today according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report.
The accident occurred on a Traill County township road two miles south of Buxton at 11 a.m. Wednesday when the truck failed to yield for the train. According to the NDHP the intersection was marked with railroad crossing signs and a yield sign.
The engineer of the train, 38-year-old Travis Hubrig of Minot, was not injured.
