Amy Irene Backer, 46, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with posting nude photos of a former romantic partner on social media on June 3 without the other woman’s consent.

Backer is charged in district court in Minot with Class A misdemeanor distribution of intimate images without consent.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the alleged victim made a report to police in June. Backer had allegedly posted the photos and derogatory comments about the other woman. The alleged victim’s face was visible in a couple of the images. The alleged victim asked Backer to remove the images and Backer allegedly said she would do so once the other woman paid her money that was owed to her. One of the photos was taken without the knowledge of the alleged victim and she had not given permission for Backer to share any of the images.

Backer has pleaded not guilty to the charge. A hearing in the case is scheduled for today before Judge Todd Cresap.
