Allan Cook, Minot, charged with burglary

Allan Joseph Cook, 42, Minot, is accused of burglarizing a northwest Minot residence on March 5. Cook, a high risk sex offender, also recently updated his registration with Minot Police and is now living in Room 115 at the Economy Hotel, located at 225 22nd Avenue NW, in Minot.

According to the North Dakota Sex Offender Registry, Cook was convicted in district court in Barnes County in 2002 of having sexual contact with three girls between the ages of 15 and 17. Cook would have been about 24 at the time.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the district court in Minot in the burglary case, a television set and K-Swiss shoes were taken during the incident.

On April 22, Cook was interviewed at the Ward County Jail and claimed that he and a group of other people were at the residence when the burglary occurred and that another man, Terrence Tipton-Holcomb, was the one who stole the TV. Cook said the resident had told him they could go into the residence to take some clothing, but nothing else.

Cook, Tipton-Holcomb, 25, and Marie Baumer, 33, are all charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, a Class C felony, and Cook and Tipton-Holcomb are each charged with Class C felony burglary.
