An Alexander man, 52-year-old James Nolf, was killed when the semi-tanker he was pulling overturned.

According to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on McKenzie County Road 2, one mile east of Tobacco Gardens, at 2:15 p.m. Monday. The patrol says Nolf failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and the Kenworth he was driving entered the north ditch and overturned onto its top. The tanker-trailer jackknifed and also overturned.

Th patrol says the surface of the gravel road at the time of the accident was saturated and slippery from rainfall.
