Robber strikes gas station

Submitted Photo Minot Police are asking for public assistance in helping identify this robbery suspect who investigators believe has struck twice in the city in recent days.

The Sunday afternoon robbery of the Mobil Gasoline Station at 2625 North Broadway has Minot Police believing he is the same man who robbed the Shell Gasoline Station a week earlier. Police are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect.

At 4:48 p.m. this past Sunday a call was received by Minot Police that a robbery had occurred at the Mobil Gasoline Station. A store employee said the male suspect grabbed something in his coat, which the employee believed to be a handgun.

The suspect demanded the employee open the cash register and give him money. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries occurred during the incident.

The robber is described as a white male in his mid-20’s, approximately 5′-10” to 6′-1″ tall and weighing about 220 pounds.

Police investigators say the robber is believed to be the same man who held up the Shell Gasoline Station on Sunday, June 23. A handgun was used in that robbery. The getaway vehicle used in that robbery was described as a half-ton, white, possibly 1990’s model work-style truck.

Anyone with information on either robbery or believes they may know the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Minot Police at 852-0111 or submit a tip through the PD website or on social media.
