Minot and area youth brought home honors from ND 4-H archery match

WASHBURN – Youth from Minot and area took part in the North Dakota State 4-H Archery Championships held at the North Dakota 4-H Camp near Washburn, according to a news release.

The top qualifying seniors and team to represent North Dakota at the National Championships included Laryn Dees, Williams County, with a score of 727.

The official state 4-H match for junior and beginner age youth is the 3-D. The junior freestyle division team from Ramsey County placed first in the 3-D competition. Members were Mathew Graue, Gannon Kurtz, Landon Kurtz and Benjamin Vetsch.

In the junior division freestyle World Federation match, Karter Myers from Ward County was third with a score of 258.

Top individuals in junior barebow division 3-D included: First – Logan Jaeger, McHenry County, with a score of 171.

Individual winners in the junior barebow World Federation competition included: Third – Abigail Delorme, Rolette County, with a score of 137.

Individual winners in the beginner freestyle division of the World Federation match included: Third – Brylee Bloms, Ward County, with a score of 168.

Individual beginner barebow 3-D division winners included: Second – Henley Driessen, Ramsey County, with a score of 112.
