Elizabeth Brien, Minot, receives deferred sentence, supervised probation, for stealing prescription drugs off porch
Elizabeth Anastasha Brien, 29, Minot, received a deferred imposition of sentence for two years of supervised probation on Friday for stealing a package containing prescription drugs off a property in Minot on May 1. If she successfully completes probation, the Class C felony charge will be dismissed.
Brien was also ordered to pay $1,100 in court costs and to stay away from the victim.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Brien and Garrett Michael St. Claire, 24, were seen stealing the package and then throwing away the box a few doors down. St. Claire claimed his cousin gave him a package and wanted him to hold onto it for him. St. Claire said his cousin ran down an alley. St. Claire is still facing charges for Class C felony theft of a prescription and Class C felony conspiracy to commit theft.
