Adam Cagle, Minot, charged with forging checks using ex-girlfriend’s closed bank account
Adam Keith Cagle, 32, Minot, is accused of writing forged checks using his ex-girlfriend’s closed bank account.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Cagle wrote a $180 forged check to the Guest Lodge for room rent in March and an $850 check to Northern Auction to pay for a used car he had purchased at auction.
Cagle is charged in district court in Minot with two counts of Class C felony theft, for exercising control over the stolen check blanks to write checks to Northern Auction and Guest Lodge, one Class A misdemeanor count of theft for the check to Northern Auction, and one Class B misdemeanor theft charge for writing the check to the Guest Lodge.
Cagle was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges on Friday.
