Two injured when pickup hits Minot house

Two Watford City residents were injured when the pickup they were in crashed into a house in the 600 block of Eighth Street NW in Minot early Sunday.

Minot Police Department officers along with the Minot Fire Department and Community Ambulance responded to the site about 1 a.m., according to a news release.

A pickup truck driven by Juan Hernandez, 26, struck a residence after witnesses saw the vehicle going north at a high rate of speed. The pickup went off the road and into the house which was unoccupied at the time.

Both the driver and a 20-year-old female passenger were unconscious upon officers arrival. They were taken to Trinity Hospital. Neither Hernandez or his passenger are reported to have life-threatening injuries.

Hernandez was arrested for DUI involving injury, a Class C felony.
