RYDER — One man apparently shot another to death at the Ryder Star Bar in Ryder on Thursday night and then went out to the parking lot and shot himself, according to the Ward County Sheriff’s Department.

Video of the incident showed Thomas Lee Huston, 32, Makoti arriving and entering the bar shortly before a 911 call was made by a witness. Huston confronted Peterson, and a short physical confrontation ensued. Huston started to walk toward the bar door and circled back, approaching Peterson, brandished a handgun and fired the weapon one time, striking and killing Peterson. Huston then left the bar, walked out to the parking lot and shot himself with the handgun and collapsed near the rear of a vehicle.

There are no additional suspects in the incident, according to the sheriff’s department, which is continuing to investigate.
