Submitted Photo The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 4 of Minot was awarded Outstanding Chapter of the Year at the 99th Annual Department of North Dakota DAV and Auxiliary State Convention in Williston April 26-28. Categories considered in granting the award were: member volunteer hours; veteran appreciation and recognition programs at nursing homes and assisted living facilities; fundraising events; monetary contributions to various causes benefiting veterans, support of and participation in, local veterans activities. Made up exclusively of men and women disabled in our nation’s defense, the DAV is dedicated to one, single purpose: building better lives for all of our nation’s disabled veterans and their families.
