Amber Perry, Minot, sentenced for drug offenses

Amber Michelle Perry, 22, who had originally charged with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine on Jan. 14, pleaded guilty on May 1 to Class C felony possession of a controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and Class B misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was sentenced to two years in jail, with a requirement she serve the one day she has already served, and two years of supervised probation on the felony charge. She must also obtain a chemical dependency evaluation and pay $525 in court costs.

She was sentenced to 360 days, all suspended but one day, on the Class A misdemeanor, and 30 days in jail, all suspended but the one day, on the B misdemeanor. She was sentenced to 360 days unsupervised probation on each of the misdemeanor charges. The sentences are concurrent.

The state dropped a Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia used for manufacture of marijuana under the terms of a plea deal.

Her co-defendant, Nicholas James Flowers, is still charged with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia possession charges.

The couple were charged after a probation officer searched the home, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court.
