Angela Miller, Arnegard, sentenced for theft of credit card

Angela Diane Miller, 46, Arnegard, was sentenced to a year in jail, all suspended but the seven days she has already served, and two years of supervised probation for stealing a credit card on Dec. 31.

The state dismissed two other Class C felony theft charges and a Class A misdemeanor forgery charge against Miller under the terms of the plea deal.

Court records show that Judge Doug Mattson also ordered Miller to pay $975 in court costs. Restitution in the case is reserved for 90 days.

Miller had been accused of using the stolen credit card to check out of the Baymont Inn in Minot. According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Miller was seen on surveillance video with the victim’s wallet, using her credit card and the victim’s Idaho driver’s license. Miller also forged the woman’s signature to check into the motel.

William James Kaseman, 37, Minot, was charged with Class C felony theft, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and Class A misdemeanor possession of heroin in connection with that case. A pretrial conference for Kaseman on those charges is scheduled for April 17.

Starting at $2.99/week.
