Journie Pletcher, Lansford, pleads not guilty to vehicular injury

Journie Lyn Pletcher, 20, Lansford, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to driving drunk on New Year's Day in Minot and striking and injuring a pedestrian in Minot.

Pletcher is charged in district court in Minot with criminal vehicular injury and failing to report or render aid in an accident involving a serious injury, both Class C felonies.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Pletcher struck the woman, who suffered a large gash in her thigh. There was fatty tissue on Pletcher's vehicle on the passenger side near the headlight. She then fled the scene and drove into a ditch after leaving the scene of the earlier accident. She had a breath alcohol content result of 0.193, according to the affidavit.

The next hearing in the case is a pre-trial conference scheduled for May 15 before Judge Doug Mattson.
