Reservations open for Corps camping

Reservations for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campsites for the 2019 recreation camping season are now open for Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon as they can be made six months in advanced.

Reservations can be made through: www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Lake Sakakawea Downstream Campground (Class A) loops 1 and 2 open May 15 to Sept. 15. Loop 1 will remain first come-first serve, while loop 2 will be available for reservation. Loops 3 and 4 open May 24 to Sept. 2. Loop 3 will be available for reservation, while loop 4 will be available on a first come-first serve basis.

East Totten Trail Campground (Class B) Walleye Loop (electric sites) open May 10 to Sept. 15. The Pike Loop (primitive sites) open May 24 to Sept. 2.

Wolf Creek Campground (Class B) West End (sites 51-67) open May 15 to Sept. 15. The East End (sites 1-50) of Wolf Creek will open May 24 to Sept. 2. Group camping is not permitted at Wolf Creek.

Cash and checks will not be accepted at East Totten Trail or Wolf Creek Campgrounds.

“Visitors should make reservations before arriving at the campground, providing there are spaces available. Please book same day reservations either online or by calling before traveling to the campgrounds,” said Nathan Busche, USACE Natural Resources Specialist.
