Raphael Cook II, Minot, sentenced for aggravated assault
Raphael Vernon Cook II, 42, Minot, will serve three years in prison for breaking a woman’s nose during a domestic altercation on Nov. 9, 2018.
Cook pleaded guilty to the Class C felony aggravated assault charge in district court in Minot on Friday.
Judge Gary Lee sentenced him to a total of five years in prison, with a requirement that he serve three years, followed by three years of supervised probation. Cook will receive credit for 64 days already served. The state dropped a charge of interference with a telephone during an emergency phone call. The sentence is concurrent with Cook’s sentence in another case for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to court records.
