FARGO – It was a remarkable showing for local competitors at the combined Miss North Dakota USA and Miss North Dakota Teen USA pageants this past weekend in Fargo.

Samantha Redding, Burlington, captured the Miss ND USA title, emerging from a field of 15 contestants. Caitlyn Vogel, Minot, earned the Miss ND Teen USA crown, topping 11 other girls for the coveted honor.

Emily Borud, Minot, was named second runner-up for Miss ND USA. Erica Dalen, Minot, was named the “Most Dedicated” contestant.

In her profile submitted to pageant organizers, Redding stated, “I want to give a huge thank you to my support system in and around Burlington. To my friends and family, thank you for supporting my pageant journey! This dream wouldn’t become a reality without each and every one of you.”

Redding advances to the national MISS USA pageant next spring.
