No bond bench warrant issued for two-time terrorizing suspect Blake Lund, Minot

Judge Gary Lee issued a no bond bench warrant on Thursday for Blake Cody Lund, 37, of Minot, who failed to appear for a court hearing on one of his two burglary and terrorizing cases.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on Sept. 24, Lund allegedly broke down a dead-bolted door to an occupied southwest Minot residence and brandished a large hunting knife while yelling. The male occupant of the residence grabbed a shotgun for self defense, racked it and pointed it at Lund and held it on Lund as he walked down the stairs. The man told Lund the police had been called. When he lowered the shotgun, Lund lunged at the other man and they fought over the shotgun. The shotgun went off during the struggle and a shot went east into a brick wall. Lund did not know any of the residents of the apartment. A man, a woman, and two teenagers were in the apartment at the time. Lund is charged with Class C felony burglary, Class C felony terrorizing, Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest, and Class B misdemeanor refusal to halt in that case. Lund didn’t show up for the hearing in the case. The alleged victims of the case did come for the hearing.

Lund had been charged two weeks earlier, on Sept. 13, with breaking into a trailer and pointing a knife at a woman there. The woman told authorities that he had visited the trailer earlier, threatened her, and and held the knife to her throat and stomach. He is charged with Class B felony burglary and Class C felony terrorizing for that incident.

Lund was also charged on Sept. 22 with Class A misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.
