Natonie Decoteau sentenced to prison for theft

Natonie Ann Decoteau, 37, will serve about two years in prison on multiple theft charges.

Court records show that Judge Richard Hagar sentenced her on Tuesday to five years, with a requirement that she serve the two years, followed by three years supervised probation for a Class B felony theft charge dating back to June 13 in Ward County. She was also ordered to pay $11,264.81 in restitution and $775 in courts costs. She was also sentenced to five years, with a requirement that she serve two years, on a Class C felony charge of theft of a firearm dating back to Feb. 8. Restitution in the case is reserved for 90 days. The sentences are concurrent. The state dismissed another Class C felony theft charge.

Decoteau is already serving a 15 month sentence at the women’s prison in New England for offenses committed in Bottineau County.
