Timothy Smith, Minot, charged with criminal trespass

Timothy Chrishod Smith, 34, Minot, is accused of a second offense of trespassing at the Guest Lodge in Minot on Sept. 2.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the district court, police had received a report that another man was running naked down the halls in Guest Lodge on Sept. 2. While they were investigating that call, Kyle Koski, 35, invited them into his room, No. 125, and gave them permission to search for any people who might be inside. Smith was discovered hiding in the bathroom behind the shower curtain. The Guest Lodge manager confirmed that Smith was not allowed to be in the hotel.

Smith made an initial appearance on Tuesday on the Class C felony trespass charge in district court in Minot before Judge Stacy Louser.

A pretrial conference in the case is scheduled for Nov. 14.
