Tiffany Ann Thunderhawk, also known as Tiffany Canales, 30, Minot, is charged with Class C felony aggravated assault – domestic violence following a domestic altercation early Tuesday morning.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Thunderhawk and her husband had been fighting. The man said she had been throwing items at him and knocking shelves over in the bedroom. She went to the kitchen, grabbed a kitchen knife, and threatened to kill her husband. He said she stabbed the knife into the bedroom door and then swung the knife at him and cut him on the head. She also threw a large plastic bottle at him which hit him on the arm and then broke open on the ground. The man had a bleeding cut on the left side of his head and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The man told police Thunderhawk had accused him of cheating on her.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 11 before Judge Stacy Louser in district court in Minot.
