Stanley Miller, Minot, accused of terrorizing fellow inmate

Stanley Leon Miller, 42, allegedly threatened to stab another inmate at the Ward County Jail in the neck with a pencil on Wednesday night.

Miller is charged with Class C felony terrorizing in district court in Minot.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the alleged victim was watching television when Miller approached and started asking questions. Miller told the man not to talk to him anymore and the alleged victim agreed. Then Miller told him to push the medical buzzer so he would be transferred out of the cell block or Miller would stab him with the pencil.

Miller is serving a three-year sentence at the state penitentiary on a drug delivery charge.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 5 before Judge Richard Hagar.
