Edwin Enchautegui, Minot, charged with intent to deliver marijuana

Edwin Enchautegui, 36, Minot, is accused of intending to deliver marijuana in Minot on Thursday.

He is charged with a Class B felony in district court in Minot as well as A misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine, A misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and A misdemeanor possession of meth paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Enchautegui was arrested after two people spraying for weeds along river banks in Minot spotted an “odd” man who smelled of drugs and chemicals at an encampment in an area of trees west of the Water Treatment Plant. The man was paranoid about workers in the area and fled from them on an ATV. Officers located Enchautegui’s camp and tracked him down. Enchautegui was carrying a large backpack and consented to a search. The search turned up the drugs and drug paraphernalia.
