Minot City Council

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW
Agenda: Union Silos will present on the project wrap up. The council will consider the annual report of the MAGIC Fund Screening Committee, rebidding a Public Works water and sewer building replacement, contract renewal with the assistant city attorney for government affairs, alcohol ordinance review, amendment to Animal Empowerment League services agreement, temporary pound veterinary services and revised lease agreement with Ward County for temporary pound services.

Ward County Commission
When: Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.
Where: Ward County Administration Building, commission chambers
Agenda: The commission will meet in special session to conduct interviews for appointed board positions before meeting in regular session at 9 a.m. The commission will receive a report from Souris River Joint Board. It will discuss an update from the N.D. Department of Environmental Quality on a feedlot and an invoice for cattle carcass disposal services, an update on the ADA digital accessibility rule, BUILD planning grant update, 2026 fire emergency restriction declaration, wall construction in the Clerk of Court’s office, county election inspector appointment and foreclosed property bid. The commission will meet in executive session for legal advice on the opioid settlement, offer on Rice Lake property and lease of the administration building’s fourth floor.

Minot Park Board
When: Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Minot Municipal Auditorium, Community Room 203
Agenda: The board will discuss the Magic City Discovery Center, early call on bond resolution, Corbett paving project and giraffe canopy project. The board will receive an update on the flood protection project and discuss Wee Links shelter bids.

Ward County Planning Commission
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Where: Ward County Administrative Building, Room 108
Agenda: The commission will consider amendments to the zoning ordinance, a request to vacate an outlot in Spring Lake Township that no longer is used for residential purposes, and zoning fee change recommendations. The commission will discuss language on battery energy storage systems.
