Public Agendas week of Dec. 15

Minot City Council

When: Monday, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW

Agenda: The council will discuss implementation of license plate reader technology. Also on the agenda is a paratransit agreement with Souris Basin Transportation, two properties still outstanding in the Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction program established following the 2011 flood, parking ramp fees for 2026, service agreements with several public entities and disclaimer of ownership and quit claim deed of unplatted land in northwest Minot.

Ward County Commission

When: Tuesday, 9 a.m.

Where: Ward County Administration Building, commission chambers

Agenda: The commission will discuss the Courthouse elevator, the 2026 contract with MACEDC and designation of 2026 precincts and polling places. The commission will conduct interviews of applicants for various county board positions and make appointments.

Minot Park Board

When: Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Minot Municipal Auditorium, Community Room 203

Agenda: The board will discuss 2026 fees and rates, bid requirement updates, sales tax, flood protection project update and 2026 park employees handbook.

How to make your opinion known: Meetings are open to the public. Members are President Chelsea Kirkhammer, Perry Olson, Justin Hammer, Mike Schmitt and Cliff Hovda.

Ward County Planning Commission

When: Thursday, 7 p.m.

Where: Ward County Administrative Building, Room 108

Agenda: The commission will consider Ward County’s request to combine smaller lots into one large lot in Rice Lake Township for continued use as public space. It will consider requests for an outlot for future residential use in Rolling Green Township, a subdivision to expand a residential yard in Sundre Township and an outlot for residential use in Des Lacs Township. The commission will discuss ordinance amendments and an update to the flood ordinance with regard to Senate Bill 2027.
