Minot City Council
When: Tuesday, 3:30 p.m.
Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW
Agenda: The council will meet in executive session to discuss a potential land purchase of commercial property at 1310 Burdick Expressway East and at 420 15th St. SE, both in the flood buyout area.
How to make your opinion known: Executive sessions are closed to the public but any actions are taken in open session. Council members are Mayor Mark Jantzer, Lisa Olson, Paul Pitner, Rob Fuller, Mike Blessum and Scott Samuelson.
Minot City Council
When: Tuesday, 4 p.m.
Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW
Agenda: The council will interview applicants for the vacant council seat. At 5:30 p.m., the council will hold its regular meeting, including discussion on city manager recruitment, wayfinding entry monument design, storm sewer fees, national opioid settlements, HVAC upgrade at the airport’s general aviation facility, Third Street Bridge repairs and acceptance of a Military Installation Readiness Grant. It will receive recommendations from the Alcohol Ordinance Review and Rewrite Committee and discuss a public safety sales tax.

Ward County Commission
When: Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.
Where: Ward County Administration Building, commission chambers
Agenda: The commission will meet in executive session to consider legal advice regarding Project BEE. At 9 a.m., the commission will hold its regular meeting, including a public hearing on the Chaparelle paving district, consideration of outlot plat requests and discussion on the 2026 budget.
How to make your opinion known: Executive sessions are closed to the public but any actions are taken in open session. Regular meetings are open to the public. Members are Chairman John Fjeldahl, Miranda Schuler, Jim Rostad, Ron Merritt and Jason Olson.
Minot Planning Commission
When: Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW
Agenda: The commission will hold public hearings on requests for an easement vacation in a manufactured home district in northeast Minot; a permit for a temporary modular building on commercial property on North Broadway; a preliminary plat on a property line adjustment in northwest Minot; a preliminary plat to subdivide a rural lot owned by the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation; a permit for a Montessori preschool and daycare in northwest Minot; and a permit for an Endeavor Sober Living group home at 624 Main St. S.for up to 10 women. The commission will consider amendments to clean up existing zoning ordinance language.
