Minot City Council

Agenda: The council will meet in executive session to discuss litigation related to 16th Street Crossing and eminent domain proceedings against Trinity. At 5:30 p.m., the council will meet in regular session to consider an amendment to a joint powers agreement with Minot Park District to allow recreational use on buyout properties; service agreements with the Commission on Aging, Souris Basin Planning Council and Minot Area Council of the Arts; 2022 ND Building Code adoption; CP Rail downtown quiet zone engineering selection; and an abatement request from Floros on commercial property at 2120 E. Burdick.

Ward County Commission

When: Tuesday, 9 a.m.

Agenda: The commission will elect a chairman and vice chairman. It will consider right-of-way reversal applications, panic buttons for the State’s Attorney offices, plat applications, Road Weather Information System, 2023 contracts with Minot Area Chamber EDC and Lake County Historical Society and a signing ceremony related to the Air Force’s Sentinel missile project.

Minot Park Board

When: Tuesday, Dec. 13, 11 a.m.

Agenda: The board will tour the Magic City Discovery Center.

Minot Planning Commission

When: Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, second floor, 515-2nd Ave. SW

Agenda: Souris River Joint Board is requesting to mine clay from Minot’s agricultural park for dike material. Country Paws Daycare and Lodging requests lot size and distance variances for a kennel and dog run in southeast Minot. The commission will consider a request for a 65- to 69-unit campground southwest of the Bison Plant Trail and will discuss amendments to the Land Development Ordinance.
