Gymagic Gymnastics hosts first Nerf Wars event

Submitted Photo Over the Easter weekend this year, Gymagic Gymnastics held an Easter egg hunt for children in the community to take part in. The event allowed kids to find eggs while also getting to see and be around the gymnastic equipment.

Boys and girls ages 6 to 12 are encouraged to prepare their Nerf guns and get ready for war at the Gymagic Gymnastics first ever Nerf Wars event. The event will take place Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the gymnastics gym.

The event is open to anyone within the age range and costs $15 to take part. Kids will need to supply their own guns, but Gymagic Gymnastic will provide the bullets/ammo and will have some goggles available for those wanting eye protection.

“We are trying to find events that would be more exciting for boys to participate in. It is something unique that Minot has not offered,” said Cassie Davis from Gymagic Gymnastic.

Nerf Wars has some simple rules. Davis said the rules include no shooting above the shoulder, no shooting while reloading, no close range shots, only those with a gun can be fired at, those taking part need to share ammo and they need to stop when they hear stop. The rules are set to create a safe Nerf War while still having fun.

As the first ever Nerf Wars, Gymagic Gymnastics hopes that people will enjoy the event so they can offer it again in the future with more age groups.

Nerf Wars will take place at Gymagic Gymnastics gym, placed at 5645 18th Avenue SE.
