Vendors do it again at the Peddler’s Market

The Spot Pool Hall is at it again with a second Peddler’s Market coming to the lot across from The Spot on Saturday.

Starting at 10 a.m., interested handmade product shoppers can come and peruse 25 confirmed vendors, three food trucks, and listen to music performed by five musicians.

“We want people to come downtown, just to enjoy the crisp fall air, some awesome local music, and get some food,” said Kristen Haverluck of Engage Marketing.

The first Peddler’s market was very successful, with around 300 people attending. Each event will raise proceeds to go to a non-profit in the area. For the first one, they raised $150 plus more with food donations for the Salvation Army.

“Giving back’s at the heart of who we are,” Haverluck said.

With a successful first event, the second Peddler’s Market is working to offer more. A huge aspect of the market is handmade and local, and for them, bringing in local artists relates to it.

“We’re excited for this part of it because I think this Peddlers Market in particular is going to be holistic and all encompassing with supporting local artists, whether they’re crafters, bakers, musicians or whatever,” Haverluck said.

The Spot, Haverluck, and other downtown businesses are working to bring other events to the area too. Events will include a holiday and spring Peddler’s Market, a taco fest and others. For information on the Saturday Peddler’s Market or any other upcoming events, check out Facebooks Minot events.
