Christmas Stories Tour to be at Journey Church

The Christmas Stories Tour includes contemporary Christian artists Aaron Shust, left, and Jason Gray, both of Nashville.

Journey Church at 1805 2nd St. SE is hosting The Christmas Stories, presented by Greater Minot Concert Association Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.

Dan Hanson, president of the Greater Minot Concert Association and full-time missionary for the college ministry Cru, said, the concert will open with Daniel Starks, “a great opener who does a variety of oldies, family friendly and Christian songs. Starks is a performer who has performed for Hostfest crowds with a variety of song selections.”

The Christmas Stories Tour includes contemporary Christian artists Aaron Shust and Jason Gray, both of Nashville.

“It is always nice to get Nashville-level talent in town,” Hanson said. Shust has had hits such as “My Savior My God,” which won a GMA Dove award in 2007. Gray more recently had hits such as “Good to Be Alive,” which was released in 2012.

“We are a nonprofit and do not have paid employees or a huge budget, so when we are able to do events and they do well, we are able to do more events,” Hanson said. Looking into the new year, Hanson said, he is trying to bring in bands such as The Newsboys and We the Kingdom.

“One part of our events is promoting service to the community, helping people, helping your neighbor, so our goal would be to cultivate a platform for the men’s warming facility in town. They actually need facilitators in the evenings and meals provided. It would be a great opportunity to give back this holiday season,” he said.

Hanson said ticket prices range from $18 for groups of 10 or larger, $20 for general admission, $30 for preferred general admission and $50 for VIP. Tickets are available Monday-Friday, 9-4 p.m., at the Journey Church office or online at itickets.com. Hansens said the event will provide holiday beverages and treats.
