The fall turkey season is set with 4,545 licenses available to hunters, 110 more than last year, according to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department. The deadline for applications is Sept. 4.

Only North Dakota residents are eligible to apply in the first lottery.

The fall wild turkey season runs from Oct. 12 through Jan. 5.
